These hand-finished colour wood-cut engravings are from Edward Lowe’s Our Native Ferns published by Groombridge & Sons, London, 1869.

The engravings are of:Trichomanes Radicans;Trichomanes Radicans Var. Furcans;Hymenophyllum Unilaterale;Osmunda Regalis;Ophioglossum Vulgatum & Lusitanicum;Botrychium Lunaria & Var. Moorei.

This is one of several books on British ferns and grasses written by the Nottingham naturalist and illustrated with wood-engraved plates drawn by AF Lydon and printed in colour by Benjamin Fawcett of Driffield.
