George Francklin Atkinson (1822-1859) was an Officer of the Bengal Engineers and artist, who served with the Bengal Engineers between 1840-59 and witnessed the Sepoy Rebellion of 1857. A profusely illustrated work regarding India in the nineteenth century and providing a satirical insight into occupied India.
