These etchings are from Istoria Romana (Roman History) by Bartolomeo Pinelli. Published by Presso Vincenzo Poggioli, Rome 1821.
These plates are is entitled: 1. Il Senatore Gallo Tetrino essendo divenuto cieco e sollevato dalle dolci esortazioni di Augusto a non uccidersi come si era prefisso(Senator Gallus Tetrinus having become blind and toldby Au gustus not to kill himself ). 2.Morte di Seneca ed ultimo addio a sua moglie Paolina (Death of Seneca and final farewell to his wife Paulina).
These fine etchings are over 200 years old.
