These original hand-coloured copper-plate engravings of Aphids and Flies are from An Exposition of English Insects by Moses Harris. Printed for the author by Messrs Robson & Co London 1776.
The prints are based on illustrations by the British entomologist and engraver Moses Harris (1730-1788) and feature insects including flies, bees, dragonflies and moths accurately drawn and highly finished in colours from nature.
